Studio Pepe 36 in Milan is pleased to host Teorema, a project curated by Arianna Baldoni. Inspired by the iconic film directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini in 1968, the event—taking place on Friday, July 4 at 7:00 PM—will feature the work of Mattia Riccardo (Chiavenna, 2002), alongside pieces by Studio Pepe 36 artists: Davide Bianchi, Giuseppe Buffoli, Claudia Maina, and Diego Randazzo.
Just like the enigmatic guest in Pasolini’s film, Riccardo will be the central figure of the evening, which will unfold through a series of dynamics that will be revealed to the audience during the event.

The "Teatrini" works are inspired by the tradition of sculptural space represented in confined spaces, which takes this name: "Teatrino" (Little theater). In the "teatrini," the figures move within a space that contains them. The iron frames are transparent boxes within which the "little men" move, proposing actions or scenes, in some cases without sense.

I am glad to announce that my project ATTESA (Wait) is part of ARCHIVIO APERTO of ATRII, a collective project that investigates, through contemporary art, the concept of atrium or andron from a processual and theoretical point of view.

They are made with indelible marker on transparent adhesive tape, then applied on paper, with subsequent mixed technique work.The Halls project originates from the previous and parallel Windows project.It partly stems from a personal obsession, the same which brings me to love windows and glass walls, that sense of expectation/separation and contemplation which they represent for me. This project originated from a research about immobility and the perception of time that results, on waiting and contemplation. The window as separation and edge of vision. In such context glass becomes the tangible element of separation between me and the others, acting almost as a sort of boundary line. At the same time though its transparency allows to see what’s beyond it. Therefore glass contemporaneously carries elements of separation, delimitation and protection.
